		<title>Hump Day</title>
			<description>
Since today, and every Wednesday, is hump day, I wanted to take this opportunity and give a lil shout out to the wonderful Ms. Lauryn Hill.&amp;nbsp; We made our way to Governor's Island&amp;nbsp; this past Saturday for the annual Rock The Bells concert, and&amp;nbsp;overall it was a great event! &amp;nbsp;The&amp;nbsp;line-up was made up&amp;nbsp;of many classic acts hitting the main stage, along with all sorts of new acts creating a name for themselves.&amp;nbsp; It had the feel of a Hip Hop Hall of Fame concert!!&amp;nbsp; We got to see Tribe do their thing, along with KRS-One and Wutang.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;We even caught a&amp;nbsp;bit of newbie Wiz&amp;nbsp;Khalifa&amp;nbsp;doing his thing.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;My personal highlight was when Lauryn Hill hit the stage.&amp;nbsp; It has been years since I've heard her name, or of her period for that matter, so I was most excited to see her do her thang.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;She did an ecletic set,&amp;nbsp;remixing most of her classics with a&amp;nbsp;full band score.&amp;nbsp; Most people weren't fans of the&amp;nbsp;new versions, but&amp;nbsp;I loved it!!&amp;nbsp; My favorite part was when she started introducing her children&amp;nbsp;towards the end&amp;nbsp;&amp;quot;Zion&amp;quot;.&amp;nbsp; I finally understood why we haven't heard from Ms. Hill.&amp;nbsp; She's been too busy&amp;nbsp;popping babies.&amp;nbsp; I swear she must have introduced a&amp;nbsp;small 3rd grade class...no joke.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;I don't blame her for taking the hiatus...understood...and&amp;nbsp;I definitely don't blame her for coming back because she has some mouths to feed.&amp;nbsp; Ms. Hill, this hump day is dedicated to you!!!
~&amp;nbsp;Ernesto&amp;nbsp;Dyce

		<title>Phresh Music: Mac Miller</title>
			<description>&amp;nbsp;

So ever wonder what might happen if the Beastie Boys had a child with Kid Cudi and that child was then raised by a pack of wild Jay-Zs??? Well, I have good news for you, stop wondering and say hello to Mac Miller, an 18-year old Pittsburgh born MC currently taking the mix tape scene by storm, for good reason too. &amp;nbsp;With Mac's latest Mix Tape venture, &amp;quot;KIDS&amp;quot; (Kicking Incredibly Dope Shit), Mac is out to show us he has a little something for everybody. &amp;nbsp;From infectious tracks like &amp;quot;Get Em Up&amp;quot;&amp;nbsp;that are just begging to be bumped loud with the windows down and &amp;quot;The Spins&amp;quot; where&amp;nbsp;Mac gets to show off just how nasty his flow can be.&amp;nbsp;Also his day dream worthy &amp;nbsp;rendition of&amp;nbsp;Owl City's &amp;quot;Fireflies&amp;quot;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;to fuel his track &amp;quot;Don't Mind If I Do&amp;quot; and &amp;quot;Nikes On My Feet&amp;quot; is full of swanky old school goodness thats best heard through a good pair of headphones. &amp;nbsp;So please do your ears a favor and bring home Macs &amp;quot;KIDS&amp;quot;, if not for you, at least do it for your speakers, they will thank you....trust me!!!&amp;nbsp;

		<title>Dyce Muse x Olivia Munn = GQ</title>
			<description>
Does that watch&amp;nbsp;look familiar?? &amp;nbsp;Wait...is that&amp;nbsp;Olivia Munn&amp;nbsp;dyced out in nothing but underwear?!?&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;That's right folks...Dyce Muse has been let loose in the wild and she is wasting no time and taking no prisoners.&amp;nbsp; So you may be asking yourself how the Muse ended up in the September issue of GQ on the wrist of one of Maxim's Hot 100?! &amp;nbsp;Well see here at Dyce HQ we like to keep our marketing and advertising tactics close to the vest, but sources do say that the Hamptons, a pool, iPad, birthday sundae, impromptu picnic, Lady Gaga's &amp;quot;Alejandro&amp;quot;, Doug, Blackberry photo shoot, Duck, Fourth of July, douche bags, tequila, dance circles, six Mexicans, and a comped bottle of champagne might have been involved. &amp;nbsp;In other news, I now understand what&amp;nbsp;Fresh Prince means when he says he &amp;quot;pulled up to a house about seven or eight&amp;quot;. &amp;nbsp;Yeah, I went there...

		<title>Dyce site refresh is LIVE!</title>
			<description>If you've noticed, we have refreshed the main page and blog page of our site. We thought it would be better to showcase the product as the first impression of the site (because it's about the product in the end, and you guys, isn't it?). We also have a glimpse of the latest happenings: latest tweet, latest blog post, and latest new product, so basically you know what we're up to with one view of our homepage.
On the blog, we moved the twitter feed to the front and instead we have added links to new product and also dedicated banners to the musicians, artists and creatives we support and that support us. I would strongly encourage you to click on those links because we like to promote true talent, and consider them part of the Dyce family.Enjoy browsing.

		<title>Been a week...</title>
			<description>&amp;nbsp;...and I need to reminisce. &amp;nbsp;

&amp;nbsp;
So as many of you know or may not know, (either works because you are about to know!!), we were in Atlanta last weekend producing and filming Almost Kings' first live DVD. &amp;nbsp;They had a kick ass concert at Wild Bill's and rocked the house out like always. &amp;nbsp;Fast forward to this past weekend, and I find myself telling stories from the past weekend. &amp;nbsp;That's when it hits me, &amp;quot;Damn, we had a real good time in Atlanta&amp;quot;. &amp;nbsp;So what better venue than The Word to do a little recap and pull some footage out of the personal archives. &amp;nbsp;Enjoy!!!
Backstory:
We've been supporting the Kings for almost two years now, so when they approached us a month ago about filming their live act we jumped at the opportunity. &amp;nbsp;We were lucky to have them perform at our launch party last September in Atlanta so we knew that a year later, with a bigger venue, new songs, new lighting, new haircuts, that this show would be unmissable!! &amp;nbsp;We planned, and planned, and planned, partied a bit (maybe a lot), and planned some more before packing our bags and making the drive down to Atlanta. &amp;nbsp;Why would we drive you may ask?? &amp;nbsp;Well with a crew of four and a shit ton of equipment, which included a lot of cameras, we couldn't resist the infinite amounts of laughter that could be captured on a 15-hour car ride. &amp;nbsp;So we said &amp;quot;Let's road trip it up&amp;quot; and made our way down to the Dirrrrrty Souf!!! &amp;nbsp;Below our the exclusive tapes from that trip...enjoy!!! &amp;nbsp;P.S. - If you ever have an opportunity to road trip with Banana, please accept immidiately and make sure to buy an iPhone 4 before the trip. &amp;nbsp;Watch below and you'll see why:
&amp;nbsp;
Starting a roud trip in the middle night is always the way to go because you just create the party in the car:&amp;nbsp;

It really just ended up being a long drive to our favorite breakfast spot. &amp;nbsp;I had just woken up and it was 5 am...don't judge:

As we made it further south, we started seeing familiar things that we absolutely love *cough* Chik-Fil-A&amp;nbsp;*cough*:

&amp;nbsp;
Lessons learned: &amp;nbsp;I may have a natural talent for playing the vuvuzela, Banana sleeps a lot, Baltimore and shootings go together, when traveling make sure to wear anything and everything that represents your city especially when you are heading to said city,&amp;nbsp;Banana is hard to wake up, iPhone 4+iMovie+mutants=awesome, doing Single Ladies dance in middle of gas parking lot as families stared and judged = priceless, Doug is everywhere, Banana will adapt his accent according to his destination, &amp;nbsp;and never tell a cow that humans eat cows. &amp;nbsp;
While in Atlanta, all our filming was dedicated to the DVD itself, which everyone must check out when it comes out, so trip documentation fell to my handy Blackberry. &amp;nbsp;Below our the Exclusive Ernesto Dyce Super Duper Personal Never Before Seen Did I Mention They Were Awesome pics:
a)b)c)
d)e)f)&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;
g)h)i)
j)k)l)
m)n)o)
(a)Sound Check: From the cat walk; (b)Sound Check: From the board; (c)Sound Check: Front of stage;&amp;nbsp;(d)We got a jib...; (e)...and official waiver signage...; (f)...VMAs here we come...; (g)Merch&amp;nbsp;booth w/ Almost Kings; (h)Booth came with two hot Loks from Miami; (i)Where we did the DVD interviews; (j)Prepping for the interview portion of shoot; (k)Clarissa ain't got shit on Bethel!; (l)Energy is a beautiful thing; (m)Wild Bill meets Dyce; (n)We got some sick footage for DVD!!!; (o)And the fans were rockin' out...

Overall, the night was a huge success and what better way to celebrate than with some yummy Korean BBQ at 5 am!!!!
&amp;nbsp;
Be on the lookout for Almost Kings, which are on the brink of getting signed and heading out on a national tour. &amp;nbsp;They are mad talented and can really put on a show. &amp;nbsp;We are pumped to have them rocking our stuff and to see them performing at 110% was truly inspiring. &amp;nbsp;Stay tuned for the live DVD!!!!
~ Ernesto Dyce
P.S. - The ride back didn't produce any new videos but it sure as hell produced some forward thinking and planning. &amp;nbsp;The trip served as an eye opener to the amount of opportunity that is out there making focus our new word of the month. &amp;nbsp;And driving into New York City sure wasn't a bad way to transition into focused thinking. &amp;nbsp;Empire State of Mind baby!!! Holla.......

		<title>Favela on Blast</title>
			<description>
If you are Brazilian you must be familiar with Baile Funk. If you are not, you need to check out the raw documentary on this unique music style from the favelas (shanty towns) of Rio de Janeiro. This style started getting worldwide exposure thanks to Diplo's work, and now this film sheds light on a style of music that is an escape from the violent lives young people in the favelas have to endure. The video will be on the site free for this week only, so make sure you watch it soon!

Big thanks to Jonathon Bernstein for setting it up and being the man behind the camera, to the models Tasia Sabatino and Bolo Hoyos for giving us their time and their good looks, Carissa for being the make-up artist, Carlos Cunha for helping out with retouching, Mario, Allen, Ant, Banana and Ernesto for being there and helping out.

Here's a taste of the fun, and you'll see the actual photography on the site pretty soon. We are working on a little lookbook too, so get excited! Lets put Dyce on the MAP.
